How can you prepare for your future career using the homemade support from Career Services? Take part in one of our experiential programs to help you gain exposure to the world of work, build skills for your next step after graduation, and let others know about your experience and discovery.

See what it is like to work in a specific job or organization by participating in the Gaucho Job Shadow Program or by shadowing a professional on your own. Help fund an unpaid summer internship by applying for the Internship Scholarship Program. Or, share any summer internship or research experience with others by joining the #GauchoSummerExperiences campaign!

Student Ambassador Program

 

The mission of the Student Ambassador Program is to increase Career Services visibility to the broader UCSB student body, as well as to provide Student Ambassador Organizations with unique opportunities to connect with matched employer organizations to foster professional development opportunities.

Requirements and Benefits:

  • Your student organization must have at least 15 active members.
  • You agree to follow our guidelines and promote Career Services events to members and larger student body as well as encourage members to follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • You continue to reflect the values of Inclusion, Compassion, Dedication, and Collaboration.
  • You agree to meet the following required activities:

A) Your members will volunteer 1x a quarter to help with each quarter's major Career Services fair/event.
B) You will coordinate 1x closed event per year with an employer that you are matched with + Career Services will provide photography as well as any guidance that is needed for this event.
C) You will coordinate 1+ open event per year with your employer partner and will promote the event to the larger student body + Career Services will provide photography as well as any guidance that is needed for this event.

D) You will attend a December group discussion where all attending Student Ambassador organizations will brainstorm visibility campaign ideas for Career Services, in accordance with specific policy guidelines.

E) You agree to take part in the visibility campaign to promote Career Services to your members and the student body.

Interested in becoming a Student Ambassador Organization for Career Services? Submit an application today! Please allow 2-3 weeks after the application window has closed for review and response.
