Handshake for Alumni
How to Access and Login to Handshake
We invite pre-2017 alumni to join Handshake, UCSB’s premier platform to find jobs, internships, and career connections. Post-2017 alumni already have an account in Handshake and should continue to use the same one.
Follow the below instructions to use Handshake based on your alumni status. Please DO NOT request a Handshake account using the "Request an Account" feature on the Handshake platform; we cannot verify this information, which will lead to a rejected account request.
Your UCSB university email (Umail) account is available for 13 months after your last quarter of registration as a student or employment at UCSB. This used to be a @umail.ucsb.edu address, now it's a @ucsb.edu email address. Single Sign-On is not available after your Umail account is closed. If you add a personal email to Handshake, called the "Primary Email Address," you can log in long after your Umail account is closed. The email used by Handshake to keep track of students is called the "Institutional Email Address," and is your @ucsb.edu address.
STEP 1
-
UCSB Alumni Post-Fall 2017 Who Can Log Into Umail:
