We know that the benefit of career guidance doesn't stop when you walk across the stage. Alumni life brings many twists and turns, including the continued question of what, how, and where to invest your life's work.
No matter how far out you are from graduation, rest assured that we can connect you with support services to take steps forward in your career. Use this page to explore the alumni services we provide at Career Services. If you are seeking additional information about alumni services at UCSB, please visit the UCSB Alumni department.

Handshake for Alumni
How to Access and Login to Handshake
We invite alumni to join Handshake, UCSB’s premier platform to find jobs, internships, and career connections.
Follow the below instructions to use Handshake based on your alumni status. Please DO NOT request a Handshake account using the "Request an Account" feature on the Handshake platform; we cannot verify this information, which will lead to a rejected account request.
UCSB Alumni Within Grace Period: You can access Handshake with your Umail account by resetting your Handshake password, as Single Sign-On is not available once you leave UCSB. Your Umail account is available for 13 months after your last quarter of registration at UCSB.
UCSB Alumni Outside of Grace Period: If you already have a Handshake account, click here to update your Handshake email address from Umail to your personal email. If you never had a Handshake account, click here to request a Handshake alumni account.
Once you have access to Handshake, click this button to login and select the option for
"You can also sign in with your email address".
