The Contact Center Network
This site links over 8,000 organizations, publications and directories around the world. You can search by geographical and by topics including: community, computers, disabilities, disaster relief, education, environment, adoption and more.

Big Book
A whole new kind of yellow pages. Allows users to search for companies by category, business name and location. Provides street-level maps for 16 million businesses. An excellent resource.

EDGAR
EDGAR stands for the Electronic Data Gathering And Retrieval System of the U.S. Securities ad Exchange Commission (SEC). Through EDGAR you can retrieve annual and quarterly SEC reports (10-K's, etc.). Edgar filings are posted to this site 24 hours after the date on which they were filed and can be viewed for free.

Dun & Bradstreet
The Dun & Bradstreet database contains information on over 10 million U.S. Companies. For a fee, you can receive a Business Background Report which provides useful information on a company's history and operations, the business background of its management, special events and recent newsworthy items. You can view a sample report and search the database for information without paying.

Hoover's
Using Hoover's is a good way to get general information about companies. You can access information and links to over 10,000 of the largest and fastest growing companies in the United States. You can search the database by company name, industry and sales. You can also access the Company Profile Database which provides in depth information on over 2,500 public and private companies for a fee; however, you can see a sample profile and view a master list of companies to see if this fee would be worthwhile. The sample profile provided by Hoover's appeared to be more in depth than the sample profile provided by Dun & Bradstreet.
