Students can now access summer research programs through the on-line publication Opportunities Alert , in addition to various on-campus faculty research options and scholarship programs.

Internship opportunities for students with disabilities interested in science, engineering, mathematics, and computer science.

HACU National Internship Program
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) recruits students for paid summer and semester long internships at federal and private corporations in Washington, D.C. and some throughout the country. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be active in the community and campus activities. The summer internship deadline is March 1st. Agencies requiring a security clearance will require an earlier application . Apply on line.

INROADS National Home Page
Places talented minority youth in summer business and industry internships with weekend leadership seminars. Serves almost 800 organizations sponsoring 6,000 college interns in 34 states including D.C. and Mexico City.

CAPAL's Washington Leadership Program
For those interested in Asian Pacific American community policy and legal issues.

Korean American Coalition (KAC) Summer Internships
Offers 10-12 out of 100 sophomores, juniors or those with senior standing nine week summer internships in Los Angeles in areas of media, business, law or politics. Includes a one week national Leadership Conference, plus $1,000 stipend. Transportation, room and board not included. Deadline third week of February.

Minority Access, Inc.
Offers paid summer positions for undergraduate and graduate underrepresented students from all majors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and interest in working in a wide range of management, professional and technical domains of the federal government. Requires application, faculty letter of recommendation, transcript, resume, and a one page essay on why you want to participate. Summer Deadline is March 1.

Morris K. Udall Foundation-Native American Congressional Internships
A 10-week intensive summer internship in D.C. to learn about the Federal government from the inside of a congressional or White House office. Twelve native American or Alaska Native college students accepted annually. Includes airfare to D.C. and a stipend. Deadline: Mid- January.

Saludos Web
Provides specific internships, scholarships and financial aid sources for Hispanic students. Devoted to promoting Hispanic careers and education.

Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO)
Offers summer internships in accounting, asset management, corporate law, information technology, investment banking, management consulting, media, and philanthropy. Undergraduates of color must have a minimum of a 3.0 and have demonstrated a commitment to community service, leadership, and maturity. Completed applications are accepted for early review beginning October 15th. The final deadline is February 15th.

Writers Guild of America, West
Open to women undergraduates and recent graduates and/or Latino, African-American, Asian-American, American Indian, disabled. International applicants also eligible interested in TV/Film writing.
