Organization Career Event Co-Sponsorship Application
UCSB Career Services is proud to have
student groups co-sponsor our career events. Our
events could not be as successful
without the leadership and support of student group
members. In exchange for this service, we also offer
student groups financial support.
Career Fair Details
Each professional career fair hosts a diverse group
of over 50 employers and is usually attended by 700-1200
students. For more details on each individual career
fair, please visit the career fair webpage at http://career.ucsb.edu/careerfairs/.
What We Need Help With
We try to accommodate as many
employers and students as possible. As such, we need
help to pull off events
of this size! Generally, student groups help with advance
preparation for the event like attending a couple of
organizational meetings and advertising the event,
as well as staffing the event on the day of the fair.
Tasks on the day of the fair include things like setup
and breakdown, greeting employers and bringing them
water, helping recruiters get parked and into shuttle
vans going to the fair, and staffing the student check-in
table at the fair. This generally takes a team of about
30 students (between 5 and 15 people hourly are needed;
usually around 9 people per hour during the event),
although you may have any number of student volunteers
as long as you are able to staff all needed tasks.
What We Would Love to Give Back
We sincerely value
all of the hard work and coordination it takes for
you and your student members to help us
with this event. Because of this, we have a number
of perks for you, including monetary compensation as
a donation to your club, your name and logo included
as our co-host of the event, and the opportunity for
you to meet these employers and show them your leadership
and service skills. You will be who they remember!
