What service would you highly recommend students utilize from Career Services?
I would recommend stopping by and getting your résumé and cover letter critiqued by an advisor because they can give you very valuable feedback. Also, I would recommend attending the various workshops Career Services offers throughout the quarter because they are very informative.

What is your major (minor if applicable) and why did you choose this area to study?
I am majoring in Sociology and minoring in Applied Psychology. I chose Sociology as a major because I enjoy studying conversation. After taking two Sociology classes I noticed I did very well in classes I enjoyed attending. So, I took another Sociology class and discovered this was the major for me. I chose to minor in Applied Psychology because I am interested in the field, particularly school psychology. I felt this minor would fit very well with my major and would help prepare me for graduate school.

What are your special hobbies / interests? What do you like to do for fun?
I like to run, swim and surf. I also enjoy attending San Diego Chargers games. They are my favorite football team and I have attended games since I was 5.

After graduation, what is your career goal?
After taking a year off, I plan on attending graduate school in school psychology. I want to become a school psychologist and work with young children who have special needs.
