What service would you highly recommend students utilize from our Career Services and why?
Aside from the wide array of literature you can look at in the Career Resource Room, I would definitely look at what our website has to offer. There are many links that can help with choosing a major, finding a job, information about graduate school, and of course a direct link to our services through GauchoLink. GauchoLink alone can hook you up with finding a job or internship. You can even get set up with interviews right in our building which can lead to not just a job, but an actual career. After you get tired of looking at all the hard copy and virtual stuff, you can stop by and talk to one of us, a career peer or an actual counselor to help you out with resumes or just to calm your fears about an upcoming interview. Sometimes talking to an actual person can be very beneficial.

What makes your current job as a career peer advisor special for you?
What do you like most about working for Career Services? I love the atmosphere! The entire staff is completely devoted to helping people. I don't think I have ever had a job where everyone, including myself, actually want to be at work. We all love what we do and I think that really comes accross to the people we help. The people here are fantastic and of course the networking and professional skill building are a definite plus!

After graduation, what is your career goal?
After I graduate I am planning to jump right into grad school in hopes of obtaining a master's degree in counseling. After working here I can't really see myself anywhere else, Cheesy but true.

Anything else you would like to share with students?
I think the best advice I could give students is to use our services NOW, while you can because we really can help. After you graduate we can't help you out anymore but as a student you are free to use any, actually, all of our services. Also, don't be afraid to approach us, we are people too and we want to help. Thanks for reading my spiel, best of luck with everything you do!
