What service would you highly recommend students utilize from Career Services?
The drop in advising hours at the Career Resources Room are amazing! Our Career Counselors are very helpful and friendly. From looking over your resume to picking a major, the Career Counselors are ready to answer any of your questions.

What makes your current job as a career peer advisor special for you?
Working with students just like myself really motives me to really help them out with their career needs. I too, am sometimes a bit lost or confused as to what I am doing with my career and it always feels good to know that there are people out there who can help.

What do you like most about working for Career Services?
The staff here at Career Services are phenomenal. I could be having the worst day ever, but once I get to work everyone is so friendly and caring that I can’t help but cheer up.

What is your major and why did you choose this area to study?
I chose to be a Psychology major because the human mind fascinates me. What people think, what influences them, and how our advanced our brains are is very mysterious and interesting. At the same time, Psychology helps you understand people and why they do the things they do.

After graduation, what is your career goal?
After graduation I plan to either work with a non-profit organization, go to Grad School (to become a social worker), or work for the Peace Corps. Yes, I know I need to make up my mind.

Anything else you would like to share with students?
I think students should become more familiar with Career Services and all the resources that are available for them. There are so many people here that are more than happy to help students with their careers, jobs, internships, grad school and other things that students might need help with in this stage of their lives.
