Work at Career Services

The Career Services staff is energetic, service-driven, and committed to assisting students with all aspects of their career development - from helping first year students choose a major to helping doctoral students become new faculty. We register and work with between 7,000 and 11,000 students each year. We provide students with services for self assessment, career exploration, applying to graduate school, and the job search. We have an active internship program and campus interview program, provide dozens of workshops and teach career classes each quarter, and offer 6 major career fairs as well as a graduate and professional school fair annually. We work closely with employers and are partnered with companies such as CallWave, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the Peace Corps. Our building, which we share with Counseling Services, is located on a main student walkway, and is a 10 minute walk from the beach.

Career Services is an exciting place to work. We are strongly connected to students, our professional associations, and the local employment community. We blend technological innovation with lots of personal contact with students. We constantly look for ways to improve our services, and some of our best ideas come from newly hired students and staff who come to the agency with fresh ideas and perspectives.
