Statistical Summary of Students and Staff
Each spring, Information
Resources and Communications publishes the Statistical Summary of Students
and Staff,
which summarizes data supplied by all campuses and
serves as the official record of student enrollment
at the University of California. The fall 2006 edition
is the most recent in a continuous series of reports
dating back to 1896.
Report
on Fall 2006 Freshmen Intent to Register Outcomes
Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) is an interim
step in the overall application, admission and enrollment
cycle. An admitted student submits an SIR following
admission to signal his or her intent to accept the
admission offer and enroll at a UC campus. Final
enrollment figures for the fall term are typically
available in
January of the following year.
- UCSB's
undergraduate applicant pool is the most racially
and ethnically diverse
ever.
- 49.5
percent of all applicants for the freshman class
are members of a racial or ethnic minority
group, the highest such proportion ever at UCSB.
- 18.9%
of the applicants submitting SIRs are from
underrepresented groups
Diversity Job Fair
Career Services hosts an annual Diversity Career
Fair with the purpose of connecting employers
interested in a diverse workplace to our students.
